Extreme Cluster-based Compression with High-Speed Query Performance

DBcompact utilizes Zettapoint’s clustering compression technology to achieve extreme compression rates. This technology analyzes the distribution of data in the database table and then clusters data based on the cluster ID (e.g. customer ID, product ID etc.), rather than by date or insertion time. DBcompact then stores all the data for the same cluster ID in the same or adjacent data blocks. By significantly reducing the database’s footprint, DBcompact delivers many tangible benefits:
